So whether you’re up for a quiet drink, or a big night out, you’ll be sure to enjoy yourself. Our head chef, Viktor Sallay, is a native of Budapest, Hungary. He has over twenty years cooking experience in a variety of cuisines including Hungarian, Russian, Italian and Modern Australian. He was head chef at the Brighton Savoy Hotel. He then ran Melbourne’s most famous Hungarian kitchen at the Newmarket Hotel in St. Kilda which was frequently reviewed and recommended in newspapers and on the radio. Now, together with his partner, David Buchler, he aims to bring to Melbourne an authentic Hungarian menu in a warm, casual and friendly environment. We have a large selection of vegetarian and gluten free dishes that are all clearly marked on our menu. We also offer a discounted Happy Hour every night and LiveGypsy Music on the first Tuesday of every month.
