As many of you know, my partner and I recently took over the pub and have been finding our feet over the last few weeks. What many of you may not know is that we’ve had two very special helpers by our side every step of the way – my wonderful in-laws.
For nearly three weeks they’ve worked tirelessly alongside us, helping clean, fix, organise, and tackle the endless list of jobs that come with taking over a pub. Many of you who have stopped in for a drink, a meal, or simply a chat would have met them along the way.
A special mention to Peter, a retired publican whose knowledge, experience, and advice have been absolutely invaluable, and to Tina, whose incredible work ethic and determination to get every job done properly has helped transform so many areas around the pub.
Today they head home, and while we’ll miss them dearly, we’re so grateful for everything they’ve done to help us get started. We truly couldn’t have done it without them.
Thank you both for your endless support, hard work, encouragement, and love. We are beyond lucky to have you in our corner.
