Tomfoolery Wines come to Straddie

Our Wines of the Month for September come from Barossa Valley favourite Tomfoolery Wines, with some seriously good pricing available by both the glass and bottle throughout the month.

And even better, the man behind the w**es is coming to Straddie.

On Saturday 26 September, Tomfoolery owner and w**emaker Ben ‘Chippy’ Chipman joins us for our next Makers’ Table Degustation – Two Crafts. One Table.

Chippy has selected five of his award-winning w**es to pair with Chef Alex’s four-course degustation menu, creating a one-night-only island dining experience on the rooftop.

Our Makers’ Table evenings are all about bringing the people behind the food, b**r and w**e to the table – and this one is shaping up to be a beauty.

Tickets are selling fast, so don’t leave this one too late. Link in comments 👇

Galleon COLD IPA is back 🍻

One of our favourite b**rs from the Pursuit of Hoppiness Shipwreck Series has resurfaced.

This b**r takes its name from one of Straddie’s most enduring mysteries: the legend of an ancient shipwreck said to lie buried beneath Eighteen Mile Swamp.

For generations, stories have circulated of a European vessel lost on the island centuries ago - possibly even a treasure galleon. No one has ever conclusively found her, but the legend has become part of Straddie folklore.

And now our Galleon has resurfaced. Andrew’s interpretation uses rice to lighten the body, a l***r yeast brewed at warmer temps in a refreshing nod to Steam B**r, and new world hops that give a moderate bitterness and loads of tropical fruit.

Available online, our Island Home and great independent bars and bottleshops.

Cheers to that 🍻

Galleon COLD IPA is back.

One of our favourite b**rs from the Pursuit of Hoppiness Shipwreck Series has resurfaced — Galleon Cold IPA, freshly brewed and available again for a limited time.

The b**r takes its name from one of Straddie’s most enduring mysteries: the legend of an ancient shipwreck said to lie buried beneath Eighteen Mile Swamp.

For generations, stories have circulated of a European vessel lost on the island centuries ago — possibly even a treasure galleon. No one has ever conclusively found her, but the legend has become part of Straddie folklore.

And now, our Galleon has resurfaced. On tap & for take home.

Andrew's interpretation of a Cold IPA uses rice to lighten the body, a l***r yeast brewed at warmer temps in a refreshing nod to Steam B**r, and new world hops that give a moderate bitterness and loads of tropical fruit.

Aromas of sweet peach, guava, pineapple, mango and orange rind. Soft candied malt flavours balance a firm but well-rounded bitterness.

Hops: Riwaka (NZ), Nectaron (NZ), Idaho 7 (USA)

Grain Bill: Pilsner, Rice

Yeast: German L***r

7.6% ABV

71 IBU

Freshly brewed. Back for a limited time. Available online now.

The treasure might still be buried. Galleon isn’t. Link in comments 👇.

Live Music this Father’s Day, Straddie Style🍻🍤

Spring has arrived — and our new Spring menu lands this Thursday!

Chef Alex has designed the perfect mix of delicious bites for every Straddie occasion. Bougie rooftop lunch with friends, fresh off the beach, or settling in for a sunset session — our menu is designed for it all.

And this weekend, we’ve got live music on the rooftop both days.

SATURDAY | 3PM–6PM
Making her Straddie debut, Brisbane solo artist Erin Reus — bringing a powerhouse of covers.

FATHER’S DAY SUNDAY | 2PM–5PM
The legend Chris Palmer is back! With a huge following from Northern NSW to the Sunny Coast, there isn’t a song he doesn’t know.

And because we're celebrating Dads all weekend, every Dad dining with us on Saturday OR Sunday gets a schooner of Straddie b**r* on us with his meal.

Father’s Day bookings are essential — don’t disappoint Dad with a walk-in. Booking link in comments 👇

Come for lunch. Stay for the music, sunset and a few fresh Straddie b**rs. Cheers to Dad 🍻

We’re incredibly proud to be named a finalist in the Redlands Champion of Business Excellence Awards in the Redlands Coast Tourism category.

Everything we do at Straddie Brewing Co comes back to one thing — our love for Straddie.

We built this business to share a little of the spirit of this incredible island with everyone who walks through our doors, drinks one of our b**rs or takes a piece of Straddie home with them.

To be recognised alongside other businesses doing wonderful things for tourism across the Redlands Coast is pretty special.

We feel very lucky to call this place home — and even luckier to share it. 💙

What an incredible evening!

August marked the first of our three Makers' Table Degustation Series, and what a way to kick things off!

Guests joined us on the rooftop to take in the stunning sunset while meeting the maker behind the w**es. A special thank you to Chief Winemaker Jessica Ferguson from Sirromet Wines for joining us and sharing her knowledge and passion.

The evening featured a four-course Chef’s degustation, with each course thoughtfully paired with a selection of Sirromet Wines and Straddie b**rs.

Great food, exceptional drinks, beautiful island views and an evening spent connecting with the makers.

And the series isn’t over yet! Two Makers' Table events remain, with limited seats available:

🍷🍺 26 September — Special Guest Winemaker Ben Chipman, Tomfoolery Wines - Barossa Valley

🍷🍺 10 October — Special Guest Winemaker Abby Heslop, Witches Falls Winery

If you missed August, now’s your chance to join us for the next chapter.

Seats are limited. Book via our website.
