The Argosy are looking for an enthusiastic & reliable person, who is looking for a great start in their career as a receptionist. This is an entry level position, with full training provided.
Do you love starting the day early? Want fulltime work Monday to Friday? Reliable, confident, love greeting and helping others? Well, this position may be for you.
This fulltime position suits an early riser, starting at 7am (earlier during double sailings)
Key Responsibilities include –
- Greet guests and visitors warmly and professionally
- Manage phone and email enquiries from guests, visitors, stakeholders and staff
- Provide administrative support to fellow management
- Manage bookings for all facets of the Hotel (accommodation, tours, bistro, etc.)
- General office organisation
We are looking for someone who –
- Loves starting the day early
- Good direction knowledge of Devonport, surrounding areas, and Tasmania.
- Strong communication skills, both verbally and written
- Professional neat appearance
- Is organised, flexible, and able to multi-task
- Is familiar and confident in computer operations
- Has strong attention to detail and can work well under pressure
- Takes pride in their work
- Current Drivers License

🧑‍🍳👩‍🍳 Our brand new, modern, functional, sleek, kitchen needs some new staff members. If you love working with food, come and join our fun, diverse, capable, talented, dedicated, and passionate team!

We are looking for both a new Apprentice Chef, as well as a Qualified Chef to join our team.

· Apprentice Chef (any age) – the perfect role for someone who prefers to learn by doing, rather than watching. This is a full time position, where you are getting paid to learn skills that will provide you with a solid, long term career in a rewarding position, with a trade qualification. Courses through Drysdale, as well as on the job training with our Head Chef and other kitchen team members.

· Qualified Chef – perfect for someone to come in and hit the ground running. This is also a full time position for someone that is fully qualified - you must have completed a Cert 3 in Commercial Cookery, and be committed to continued growth as a Chef and as a team. You will have the ability to work well under pressure with a hands on approach, and be confident, passionate, creative and capable.

All our kitchen staff work split shifts, over 7 days, having 2 days off per week, and we are looking for people who are passionate, able to take direction, capable, reliable, willing to learn, and who are able to work well within a team.
