About The Role;
An exciting opportunity exists for you to lead the kitchen team and the food offering at the Boab Inn.
The Boab Inn is a hotel based in the Kimberley.
We are looking for a Head Chef for our modern style hotel that takes pride in doing the simple things to a high standard.
The Head Chef will be in control of all kitchen operations for the hotel, including the food operations. You will be responsible for all food products and menus to be of a high standard and for the profitability of all food operations.
We are looking for someone to take ownership of the kitchen with great pride in their work from both a product and a business perspective.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage develop and lead the kitchen team.
• Full responsibility for preparation, cooking, and presentation of meals.
• Develop innovative food offerings, providing feedback and ideas to management.
• Coordinate rosters, training and other admin duties.
• P&L responsibilities for payroll and food costs.

The successful candidate will possess:
• Ability to run a busy kitchen.
• Management skills.
• Food Safety/HACCP knowledge and certification
• Trade qualifications or equivalent work experience (at least 3 years).
• A positive attitude and strong work ethic.
• Good communication skills.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• Organisation skills.
• At least 3 years full time experience in a similar roll.

The Boab Inn Derby & Spinifex Hotel are looking for a full time Hotel Receptionist / Admin Manager to assist with the day to day running of the front office department.
About the role:
• Welcome guests at check in, cross referencing reservations details and fare-welling guests at checkout.
• Attend to incoming calls by answering queries and providing outstanding guest service.
• Ensure all guest requests are accurately actioned with prompt follow through.
• Maintain high level of professionalism and ensuring procedures are followed in relation to guest confidentiality and issuing of room keys.
• Process reservations either by phone or email.
• Demonstrate high professional telephone manner and excellent communication skills.
• Always demonstrate high level of customer service.
• Maintain immaculate grooming standard.
• Control of all front office accounting as directed by head office.
• Any other duties as directed by the Hotel Manager

We are looking for someone with:
• Sound knowledge of RMS or similar reservation system.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment.
• Strong eye for detail to ensure all data is entered correctly.
• Passion to deliver exceptional customer service.
• A ‘can do’ attitude and willingness to learn new skills.
• Excellent communication skills; including both verbal and written.
• Outstanding administration and organisational skills.
• Previous work experience in a hotel Front office or Reservation’s environment
• Full work rights in Australia.
• Flexibility and availability to work across 7 days of the week including public holidays, where necessary.
