【Clarification Statement】
Recently, a former employee of our store has been spreading false information online, claiming that we withheld her salary and even incited others to harass us. We would like to take this opportunity to clarify the situation:
1. About Her Employment
This employee originally worked at a motel but was later dismissed. She approached my mother for help, saying she couldn’t afford rent and couldn’t find another job in the short term. Out of kindness, my mother allowed her stay at our store temporarily and provided her with a free accommodation and food. And over thousands money give to her for living.
2. About Our Business Situation
Our ice cream shop is very small, and including my mother, we already had two employees. Business has always been slow, so we actually didn’t need another employee. Taking her in was a financial burden for us, but we wanted to help. The work at our store is not heavy—mostly cleaning and serving customers. When there are no customers, employees are free to use their phones, play games, or even make milk tea for themselves.
3. About the Salary Dispute
Recently, this girl frequently arrived late. On last Sunday day, we were busy in the morning and couldn’t find her, so my mom reminded her to be punctual in the future. Honestly, this was a normal request, but she got upset and left immediately.
Later, on Monday, she texted us saying she was resigning and demanded her salary to be settled by Wednesday. Since it was the Chinese New Year period, most of our staff were on leave, and we were busy, so we didn’t reply to her message right away. However, on Tuesday, my mom actively reached out, asking her to provide her bank account and tax number so we could process her payment. Instead of providing this information, she continued posting online, causing unnecessary trouble for us.
4. About the Harassment
Due to her posts, both we and our staff have been receiving harassment. We want to make it clear: Jenny is just a friend here help us for few hours a week. Please stop harassing her. We have collected all relevant evidence, including chat records and recordings of harassing calls. If this situation escalates further, we will take legal action to protect our rights.
5. Evidence
To support our statement, we are providing the following evidence:
Screenshots of our chat conversations, including our request for her bank details for salary payment.
Call recordings showing the harassment we have received due to her false accusations.
We have never mistreated her, and we are still willing to settle her salary. However, given the damage caused by her false accusations, we believe a formal apology is necessary. We have a responsibility to our employees, customers, and ourselves, and we cannot let online abuse harm everyone because of her personal grievances.
