❤️ A Darwin Family Needs Us ❤️
At Salvatores Cafe, we have no formal connection with Palmerston Rugby Union Club, but I have played rugby alongside or against members of the Darwin rugby community over the years.
More importantly, we're parents.
As a family with three young children ourselves, we simply cannot imagine the fear, uncertainty and heartbreak that Zoel Smith's family must be facing right now after his diagnosis of brain cancer.
Zoel's battle will involve months of chemotherapy and radiation treatment away from home, placing an enormous emotional and financial strain on his family at a time when their focus should be entirely on helping their son get well.
To help support fundraising efforts, Salvatores Cafe is donating $100 worth of vouchers to assist with upcoming raffles and fundraising activities.
We're also encouraging other Darwin businesses to get involved. Whether it's a voucher, product, service, experience, prize, or direct donation, every contribution helps and shows this family that their community is standing beside them.
💙 If you can spare $5, donate $5.
💙 If you can spare $20, donate $20.
💙 If you're a local business, consider donating a prize or voucher to support future fundraising efforts.
💙 If you can't donate, please share the fundraiser and help spread the word.
No contribution is too small. Sometimes it's not just about the dollars raised — it's about showing a family that their community is standing beside them during the toughest fight of their lives.
The Smith family are about to embark on a journey no family ever wants to face. Let's remind them that they won't be facing it alone.
Please keep Zoel, his parents Rob and Sarah, and his brothers Reef and Sonny in your thoughts and prayers.
We encourage everyone to support the fundraising efforts being coordinated by Palmerston Rugby Union Club and help spread the word throughout the Darwin rugby community.
❤️ From our family at Salvatores Cafe to yours, we're wishing Zoel strength, courage and a full recovery. ❤️
Darwin has always been a community that looks after its own. Let's show the Smith family exactly what that means.
