The creative force behind Hardy's Verandah Restaurant.
Head Chef Alessandro Mangione.

Born in Torino, Italy, Alessandro began his culinary journey at just 14, before a career that would take him from London and New Zealand to some of South Australia’s most celebrated kitchens.

His connection to Hardy’s Verandah runs deep. Alessandro was part of the restaurant’s opening team before continuing his journey across Adelaide’s dining scene — eventually returning to where his Australian story began, this time as Head Chef.

Today, his cooking is shaped by Australian ingredients, refined technique and a strong sense of place, with each menu evolving alongside the seasons.
