Hey there CAF fam,
Late this afternoon while we were closed a fire broke out at the CAF, causing extensive damage. We will have to close from tomorrow until we can get the cleanup and repairs underway. I'm not sure just how long this will take sorry, but we will update you all via socials and the good old Coolum grapevine as to when we can open our doors again.
The great news is nobody was hurt. But the cafe has definitely seen better days.. 😔
I need to say a massive thankyou to .pizzaco for spotting the fire and raising the alarm. Without your quick action, the damage to the CAF and neighbouring businesses would have been so much worse. Absolute bunch of legends.
Also a massive thankyou to for calling me and then being the shoulder to have a sneaky man tear on whilst I watched the fire crews do their thing.
Massive thankyou to the Coolum Fire Brigade, Noosa Fire Bridgade, Maroochydore Fire Brigade, and any other station who responded that I may have forgotten. You guys saved the CAF and the neighbouring businesses from any further damage.
The CAF is damaged but not done. We will return soon.
For now, it's hometime to drink a beer or 30. And tomorrow we start again.
