JUST ANNOUNCED: MAPLE GLIDER

Hello, Maple Glider here. We’re putting on a last-minute gig at the beloved Tote to raise money for the PARA Foundation !!!!

It’s been a while and I really wanted to put on a little solo show to say hello, play some new songs and raise some funds for a great organisation supporting Palestinian people living in Australia.

Thanks so much to The Tote who are waiving their venue hire, covering the cost of sound and door, as well as to my manager Tom and Bec from Collective Artists who are both waiving their fees. All of the proceeds from this event will be donated to PARA foundation minus the booking fee you pay when you buy the ticket.

Please come and raise some much needed $$$ for a great organisation

SATURDAY UPSTAIRS: BLANCO TRANCO

Six years after playing their very first chords in the historic, sweaty rooms of Collingwood's most iconic pub, Blanco Tranco are coming home. Following a seven-month hiatus from the stage and the release of their stunning debut album The Imagined Life (Honeyglider Records), the four-piece are bringing their high-energy live show back upstairs at The Tote. Audiences can expect their signature blend of introspective dream-pop haze, driving post-punk rhythms, and the raw emotional delivery of frontperson Tiff Brown.

Rounding out the brilliant lineup are Maxine Gillon, bringing a mix of '80s Australiana, art rock, and western twang reminiscent of Rowland S. Howard and Lou Reed, and Fleeting Persuasion, known for their emotive indie rock, harsh dissonance, and compelling hooks.

FRIDAY UPSTAIRS: CELLTOWERS

Naarm's own four piece Post-Punk outfit, celltowers, are taking their sophomore EP hi-speed hi-five on the road across AU. With tunes that move between slow, heavy shoegaze and wired post-punk, you'll be greeted by an array of catharsis and head grooving sounds. Joined by Melbourne's very own The Mundaynes, Henry Toast + Opera. This lineup is vibe heavy and not to be missed. Come early, stand close.

THURSDAY: ROLLER ONE - 'FATE DONE NICE' Album Launch

Melbourne/Naarm astral-country outfit Roller One will celebrate the release of their fourth album, Fate Done Nice, with a special showcase performance joined by fellow Melbourne music stalwarts The Remotes and The Van Walker Trio.

Released through Cheersquad Records & Tapes, Fate Done Nice marks a new chapter for Roller One. Built around the songwriting of Fergus McAlpin and featuring Adam Afiff on double bass, the album reunites former Silver City Highway bandmates Simon Edwards and Nick Hurle, alongside contributions from Georgia Knight and Cahill Kelly. The result is a record that broadens the band's distinctive counter-country sound with greater drive, energy and sonic depth, while retaining the warmth and intimacy that has defined Roller One's music for more than fifteen years.

Across Fate Done Nice, Roller One paint vivid scenes of suburban streets, city corners, racetrack totes and country landscapes. The songs exist as snapshots of memory, place and emotion rather than conventional narratives, creating a collection that feels both deeply personal and universally familiar. Written over many years and across locations ranging from the Dandenong Ranges to Cranbourne, Brunswick and Berlin, the album captures moments suspended in time, bound together by McAlpin's poetic eye and the band's expansive musical vision.

Drawing comparisons to Hank Williams, Townes Van Zandt, Gram Parsons, Don Walker and Bill Callahan, Roller One's sound sits comfortably between country, Americana and indie folk. The singles "So Far", "Sparrow" and "Motorsports" offer a glimpse into the rich atmosphere, poetic songwriting and understated power that define Fate Done Nice.

This special album launch is more than a celebration of a new release. It is also a gathering of three enduring voices from Melbourne and Australia's independent music community, artists whose collective histories span decades, countless stages and an extraordinary catalogue of recordings.
