6pm is the worst hour of the day in most houses.

Everyone's tired, everyone's hungry, and the person who cooks is also the person who has to decide. It's the one hour nobody designs for.

So we designed for it. Open the fridge, heat one thing, sit down.

In my house, half of us eat meat and half of us don't.

That's why there are 2 full menus every week, not one with a couple of vegetarian options bolted on the end. 5 dishes each, same week, same delivery.

Nobody at the table is the afterthought.

It starts around 10am and follows you through the afternoon. That's the part we take. Not the cooking, the deciding.

You choose once on a Thursday and Wednesday night just arrives, already handled.

One of our packs doesn't come portioned. That's on purpose.

Mains To Share is 5 mains at 500g each, which is 10 serves across the pack, for $129. 5 at 1kg is 20 serves, $248. Mains only, so you add rice, noodles or bread at home. That's a few nights of dinners handled, not one big night.

Her dan dan noodles are on the Week of 12 October menu, cooked by her in our Cheltenham kitchen. We put her name on it because that's whose dish it is.

Weekly Meal Pack is 400g single servings in packs of 5, 7, 10 or 14. The menu is open now and closes Sunday 10pm, cooked Tuesday, with you Wednesday.

This week: Thai Green Chicken Curry, Thai Pork Meatballs with Tamarind, Dan Dan Noodles by Connie, Black Pepper Chicken, Eggplant and Pork Mince. 5 vegetarian dishes mirror it.

We don't cook anything until the orders are in.

Orders close Sunday at 10pm. We cook on Tuesday. Wednesday it goes out across Melbourne Metro and down the Mornington Peninsula.

That's the reason the menu closes 4 days before it arrives. We cook to the orders we have, not to a forecast.

This week's Weekly Meal Pack: Cashew Pork Stir Fry, Beef Massaman Curry, Stir Fried Macaroni with Beef (Nui Xao Bo), Char siu BBQ Chicken, Rotisserie Chicken (Ga Roti) with Red Rice.

Nobody eats 5 dinners in 5 nights.

They're single serves, 400g each. Freeze what you won't get to by the weekend and you've handed your future self a Tuesday night in three weeks' time.

It isn't 5 dinners in a row. It's 5 nights you don't have to think about, spread over however long you like.

There's macaroni in one of this week's dinners. Vietnamese kids will know exactly why.

Nui Xao Bo. Stir fried macaroni with beef, cooked in a wok like everything else. A weeknight dish in a lot of Vietnamese homes, and one you'll almost never see on a Melbourne meal prep menu.

Also this week: cashew pork, beef massaman, char siu BBQ chicken, and ga roti with red rice.
