We have been holding onto an incredible secret...

Emelia Jackson is coming to Maine Food Store on Sunday, the 19th of April, 2pm- 3.30pm!

Come and join us for an afternoon tea with Emelia.

We are celebrating the release of her newest cook book, You had me at cake.

Emelia will have cook book's and her wonderful merchandise for sale on the day. You will have the opportunity to have them signed. We will have a little Q&A session with our afternoon tea to hear of her adventures and how she brings her books to life.

Please note that this is a ticketed event, $50 per ticket, which includes your drinks and afternoon tea on the day.

We are Hiring!

What are we looking for?

We need a person who,

- loves early mornings, 5.30 am starts on occasion
- is an all-rounder and team player
- has a willingness to learn coffee/ food preparation/ cooking
- works well in a diverse environment
- has cafe or catering experience
- has a can-do attitude

This is a casual role, starting with 3 days per week with the possibility for more. We do lots of catering, so occasional weekend availability is needed.

If you don't have experience but have the right passion, we are willing to train you.

Locals working together ❤️

Sarah, Nigel and the team at Maine Foodstore A massive Thank you from the Castlemaine Lions Club for the amazing food provided at short notice. Ask any fire-fighters who ever had the good fortune of experiencing the harcourt staging area... Thanks for all the feedback from the Firefighting crews and other emergency service crews at harcourt it has all been passed on to the respective businesses.

Merry Christmas!

A huge thank you for all of the community support this year.

We have seen some truly wonderful acts of kindness.

Our last day today before a mini break, and we had one beautiful person pay it forward with pre buying coffees. This then started an add-on effect where the next people put more money on the tab for coffee to keep paying it forward. Truly a beautiful way to see our year close.

To all of our wonderful staff, thank you isn't enough. We are who we are because of you. To our local businesses who support us and to whom we work with locally, thank you. We cherish the relationships that are blossoming and wish you all a safe and Merry Christmas.

To our family, we are so grateful for our village. We don't take this lightly, and we appreciate everything you've done to help us, our family and our business. From showing up un announced and smashing some dishes, secretly mowing our lawns, to staying back to help us finish earlier so we can get home to our kids to have some quality time. We won't forget and hope we can repay the love we have been shown. 💞

From our family to yours, whatever this season means to you, we hope you are able to cherish the little moments.

CHRISTMAS SALAD ORDERS,

Take the stress out of preparing for christmas and order a salad instead. We can customise pick up for the week of or any time in December with 3 days' notice.

Salad options this year are:
- Aussie Potato Salad (GF/DF)
- Mediterania Pasta Salad (VGN)
- Bacon and Ranch Salad (GF)
- Roasted Vegetable and Miso (GF, VGN)
- Vietnamese Rice Noodle Salad (VGN/GF)

Each large platter (10x 14 inch) serves approximately 15 people as a side, and they’re all $90 each.

Alternatively, our smaller size (6x 10 inch) will serve 6-8  and is $50

Please note that this ratio is based on our family, so you may get more serves. 😉

We require a 50% non refundable deposit to secure your order with the remainder to be paid upon pick up.

They will be available to order up until Friday the 19th of December at 12 pm.

Our lastest pick up available is Christmas Eve .

Have you seen our fresh fit lately?

We've been working behind the scenes on this for months!

For most of you, it doesn't seem like a lot, but for us, it is a game changer. More storage and a beautiful cohesive space that feels more like us.

A HUGE thank you to from Australian Cabinetry Company. Juzz listened to our ideas and moulded them into something way better than we imagined, all whilst working with our tiny budget and without disturbing our day to day runnings. We couldn't be happier with the outcome.

A beautiful cake, for a stunning couple 😍

Did we tell you that this was also gluten-free...

Top tier was a lemon citrus cake filled with lemon butter cream. The bottom tier is a rich chocolate cake with chocolate fudge ganache in the middle.
