What an honour meeting Manish Mehrotra nisab anjum yesterday. 🙏 An inspiration for anyone putting Indian cuisine on an authentic yet exciting path, exactly what we chase every day at Kahaani. Thank you for the warmth and hospitality, chef.

Back in India. 🇮🇳

Travelling through its streets, kitchens and communities tasting, learning and discovering the stories behind the food.

Because Indian food isn’t just about recipes. It’s about region, people, culture and tradition.

This journey is about finding the India behind the food — and bringing a little piece of it back to your table at Kahaani, Melbourne.

Our Pav Bhaji — messy, buttery, tangy, and unreasonably authentic.

05/07/2026

A Mumbai street side icon, now telling its story at Kahaani.
Our Pav Bhaji is slow cooked with spiced vegetables, finished with butter, and served with soft toasted pav messy, bold, nostalgic, and made to be shared.
It’s the kind of dish that doesn’t need cutlery, just good company.
Now on the new menu at Kahaani.
