Back in 2015, we introduced the Indonesian rijsttafel experience — a tapas-style nasi campur that brought many flavors to one table. Years later, when we moved to Westfield Carousel, we embraced something even more humble and familiar: nasi bungkus.
Inspired by the everyday meals loved across Padang, Bali, Medan, and Jakarta, we brought this simple wrapped rice to Perth. What began as a convenient takeaway became a little taste of home for many.
Today, we are grateful to have played a part in Perth’s nasi bungkus revolution. We believe Indonesian food has a unique way of bringing people together. Just like a nasi bungkus, every choice inside tells a different story, yet together they create something complete — a reminder that despite our many differences, we are always united by the warmth of sharing a meal.
