This Saturday evening, the Polish White Eagle Club opens its doors for a relaxed celebration of Enrico Taglietti’s design legacy. Designed in 1970 as Nicholas Copernicus House for Canberra’s Polish community, the building remains a rare example of his hospitality-focused work still in use today, shaped by the same clients and community it was created for.

Formally opened in 1973 by Cardinal Karol Wojtyla, later Pope John Paul II, the venue has long been a cultural and social hub. For this special evening, visitors can also access the original boardroom, a space not usually open to the public.
