This beauty was all about playful personality, with soft buttery yellow buttercream, bold pink flowers, pops of sunshine yellow and a little lyrical inspiration!

I absolutely love cakes that break away from the traditional birthday designs and let a little personality shine through. They’re fun, a little unexpected and guaranteed to get people talking! 💕

And those hand-piped flowers? Perfectly imperfect, full of texture and just the right amount of retro charm. 🌼

🧸💙 ONE very special cake for ONE very special little boy! 🎂

When your baby turns one and you’re a cake decorator, you know you have to go all out! 🤭💙

For our gorgeous James’s first birthday, we celebrated with a Teddy Bear Picnic, and I couldn’t resist making him his very own teddy bear-themed number ONE cake!

Soft buttery yellow, baby blue piping, delicate little flowers, a sprinkle of greenery and the sweetest handmade teddy bear sitting proudly on top, complete with his tiny party hat and bunting! 🐻🧺

I wanted something sweet, playful and full of those little details that make a cake special — and I think this little bear stole the show!

There’s something so lovely about creating cakes for other families’ milestones, but making one for my own baby’s very first birthday? That one has my whole heart. 🥹💙

And of course, James had his own little smash cake too, because the birthday boy deserved something he could get his hands into! 😂

🧸 A whole year of James! 💙🎂

One whole year of loving you, watching you grow, celebrating your little milestones and wondering how on earth twelve months have gone by so quickly. 🥹

From the tiniest newborn snuggles to the cheekiest little smiles, giggles, endless cuddles and a newfound determination to explore absolutely everything — what a beautiful, busy, love-filled first year it’s been!

To celebrate our gorgeous boy turning ONE, we threw him a Teddy Bear Picnic! 🧺🐻 Complete with gingham, teddy bears, lots of delicious treats, our favourite people and, of course, cake!

And because Mum is a cake decorator, there was never going to be just one cake! 😂

I had so much fun creating his teddy bear-themed number one birthday cake, complete with little blue flowers, bunting and the sweetest handmade teddy bear. And then there was James’s very own smash cake — because what’s a first birthday without letting the birthday boy get his hands into some buttercream?! 🎂

Watching those little hands squish, grab and explore the icing was everything. The mess, the curiosity, the absolute delight — a perfect little snapshot of being ONE. 💙

There’s something extra special about making your own baby’s first birthday cake. I’ve made so many cakes for other people’s milestones, but getting to pour all that love into something for our own little boy is a memory I’ll treasure forever.

James, you have brought so much joy, noise, laughter and love into our family. Watching you and your big sister together has been one of the greatest gifts of this past year, and we can’t wait to see the little person you’re becoming.

Happy first birthday, our darling boy. You are so incredibly loved. Here’s to a lifetime of adventures, milestones, messy moments and memories. 💙

When your baby boy turns ONE, you know Mum has to make the cookies! 🥹

For James’s first birthday Teddy Bear Picnic, I couldn’t resist creating these adorable little teddy bears cuddling a big blue J! 🐻

Soft blues, warm browns, tiny paw prints and the sweetest little faces — all made with love (and just a little extra sentimentality because they’re for my own baby!). 💙

I’ve made hundreds of cookies for other families’ special milestones, but there’s something pretty magical about getting to create them for my own little ones.

And just like that, my baby boy is ONE! Where did that year go?! 🥹

Handmade, personalised and almost too cute to eat… almost! 🤭🍪

Okay… I may have let a few people taste-test October’s loaded cookie and the feedback was VERY convincing 😂🍪🤎

Meet the Nutella Stuffed Loaded Cookie — thick, soft, chewy, packed with chocolate, made with gorgeous brown-butter flavour and finished with a seriously gooey Nutella centre.

And apparently:
“these chunks are ridiculously good”
“it’s a divine gooey and chewy dessert”
“generous Nutella… it’s in every bite!”
…and my personal favourite piece of advice: zap it for 10 seconds so the inside melts 🤤

A whole lot of colour, personality and Sebastian packed into one cookie set. 🎉🍪💙

These were designed to coordinate with his 5th birthday cake, with a playful mix of party hats, birthday messages, Lego, Toy Story, Mario, dinosaurs, farm animals and little nods to some of his favourite things.

I love sets like this because they don’t have to fit into one neat theme — sometimes the best brief is simply “these are all the things they love.” 🥹✨

And after making Sebastian’s 1st birthday treats four years ago, it was pretty special to be creating for his 5th birthday too. 💛

This one felt a little bit special 🥹💛

Four years ago, I made Sebastian’s very first birthday cake — a bright little Elmo cake for his 1st birthday. And now here we are, celebrating 5. 🎂✨

This year’s brief was basically a collection of Sebastian’s favourite things all rolled into one colourful cake — Lego, Mario, dinosaurs, farm animals, Toy Story and plenty of fun little details scattered everywhere. 🌟🧱🍄🦖🐮🤠

One of the loveliest parts of being a small business is getting to watch families come back year after year and being trusted with their milestones as the kids grow. From “Happy 1st Birthday” to a giant number 5… how did that happen so quickly?! 🥹

Happy 5th Birthday, Sebastian! 💙❤️💛💚
