Cold Friday nights were made for pizzas like our Prosciutto e Funghi.

Mushrooms, prosciutto, truffle oil, plenty of cheese... honestly, not much chance of ordering responsibly once this hits the table.

And yeah, Fridays here are no secret. link and half the suburb’s ordering pizza.

Best get in early before everyone else has the same idea.

Pizza’s hot. Drinks are cold. Weekend’s on.

Funny how everyone suddenly becomes a wine person once Melbourne gets cold.

Good thing we've got our own Boss labels ready to go.

Barossa Shiraz if you're settling in properly.

Coonawarra Chardonnay if pizza and white wine's more your thing.

And the Yarra Valley Rosé for the people still pretending it's not freezing outside.

Long weekend's done. Back to reality, everyone.

A few late nights, a few too many drinks and somehow it's Wednesday already.

Good news though: Boss is back on, the ovens are firing and dinner's looking a whole lot easier tonight.

Feels like nobody's been home before 9 pm this week.

One drink turns into dinner. Dinner turns into "might as well stay out". Suddenly, it's Thursday and everyone's wandering around in a coat looking slightly lost.

Melbourne does this once it gets cold.

Cold one too. Feels like Melbourne's finally settled into winter properly.

People heading home a bit earlier. Trams packed. Everyone chasing somewhere warm by about six o'clock.

Days shorter, nights cooler, and no one's exactly rushing off once dinner's done.

If you're staying a bit longer, you may as well do it properly.

Our Calzoncino Nutella is baked in the wood-fired oven, filled with warm Nutella, served with strawberry compote and vanilla ice cream.

By the time Friday rolls around, you want something that actually hits.

Our Skipper’s been doing exactly that lately.

Baby octopus, a bit of chilli through it, lemon cutting through at the end… all sitting on a proper base coming out of the oven the way it should.

Not your usual Friday pizza and that’s the point.

Week’s settled in, no real plans, just figuring out what the night looks like once you’re done for the day.

That’s usually where it lands… pizza on the table, something cold in hand and nowhere you need to rush off to.

Peroni, Ichnusa, or whatever feels right.
Stay a bit longer. No one’s kicking you out.

Friday’s here.

Oven’s running hot, bases going down one after another, and it doesn’t take long before the whole place is moving.
