In our function room tomorrow (Sunday, 16 August) we hope to gather and share some stories to remember Woody.

If you have friends who had the privilege of knowing Woody, or friends from the Wednesday pool comp, please let them know. 11 am - 3 pm.

He appeared out of nowhere to us and built a wonderful Wednesday night at the Nard. Playing pool for the love of the game. We are so lucky that he liked our pool tables.

Today we’re celebrating a very special milestone for an even more special member of our Esplanade family.

Shari is turning 60 today and has been part of the Esplanade Hotel for an incredible 29 years! 💙

For nearly three decades, she’s welcomed guests with a smile, worked tirelessly behind the scenes, and become such an important part of our team and our history. Her dedication, loyalty and hard work are truly something to be celebrated.

Please join us in wishing Shari the happiest of birthdays and thanking her for everything she has contributed over the past 29 years. We hope your day is as wonderful as you are! 🥂🎈🎁

Today marks, marks 27 years since the tragic loss of Brevet Sergeant Glen ‘Huey’ Huitson, who was killed in the line of duty in 1999 while stationed in Adelaide River.

We pause today to remember Glen, a devoted husband, loving father, loyal friend, and dedicated police officer.

Twenty-seven years later, Glen’s legacy remains strong, his name and his contribution to policing in the Northern Territory remain firmly held within our Association and the wider police family.

We continue to honour his memory with the deepest respect and enduring gratitude.

Gone but never forgotten. 💙

Shari’s mate Hubert is 105 today , when you can't get to your local it goes to you 🙂 he got a card from the queen when he turned 100 and one from the King at 105
