This is Jackson.
By looking at this photo, you wouldn't know that just four years ago he had an accident at McCoys Creek in Bundaberg, where he fell 3-5 metres and was left in a coma.
He was in hospital with a broken neck, broken ribs, punctured lung, a broken fibula and brain damage.
Before this, Jackson was a typical teenager living life like any other person his age. He now lives with an ABI (Acquired Brain Injury), but that hasn't stopped him from living his life.
Jackson joined the Deli just six months ago, and he's already shown amazing progress.
Jackson says, he loves meeting new people, disability or not. “Because I come from that background, I treat them how I would like to be treated, like any other person, disability or not.”
He also shared: “I’m so thankful to Hayley and Ashton for the opportunity to enter the workforce and work like anyone else. I think they are great people to be a part of the team and work for.”
His favourite item on the menu? The Cowboy Burger 🍔
A few of you have already approached us or messaged us about Jackson's amazing customer service, calling him a great asset to our company for the way he makes people feel welcome and cared for.
One customer said they "couldn't speak any more highly of this young man."
Of course, we totally agree. We passed the feedback on, and Jackson is so happy about it.
We're proud to have him on our team, and can't wait to continue to watch him grow.
