We’re still on the hunt for our next Barista/All-Rounder 🌿☕️

Café 1928 is growing our team! We’re looking for an experienced barista to join our busy café in the Bundaberg Botanic Gardens.

☕️ Experienced Barista/All-Rounder (Casual)
We’re looking for an experienced barista who:
• Has proven barista experience
• Can stay calm and work efficiently under pressure
• Is energetic and capable of working in a fast-paced environment
• Enjoys working as part of a small, close-knit team
• Is happy to learn and work across all areas of the café

While coffee-making experience is essential, this isn’t just a barista position. Every day brings something a bit different! Every day brings something a bit different! The daily tasks jump between kitchen prep and dishing basic food menu items, serving customers, keeping up with dishes/cleaning and tracking stock levels to keep everything stocked and ready.

We’re one of the busiest cafés in the area, so being able to handle a fast-paced service and work well as part of a team is important. If this sounds like you and an environment you’d thrive in, find our email at the bottom of this post.

📅 Availability
Weekend and school holiday availability is essential (Sundays prioritised). We support roster flexibility and work-life balance, but consistent shift reliability is required so weekend coverage is shared fairly among our team.

Mother’s Day from Cafe 1928 🌸☕

What a massive day! A huge thank you to everyone who joined us for breakfast and lunch yesterday. It was such a pleasure to see so many families celebrating the wonderful Mums in our community.

We were absolutely blown away by the number of entries for our Mother’s Day Hamper. From everyone who enjoyed a quick coffee to those who brought the whole family in for a feast, the response was incredible! 🎟️✨
