Energetic Casual Nanny Wanted for Two Busy Little Boys!

We’re looking for a fun, reliable and energetic nanny/babysitter to join our family on a casual basis.

This role is perfect for someone who genuinely loves spending time with children and is happy getting down on the floor to colour, read stories, build cubbies, play outside and keep two adventurous little boys engaged and entertained.

About the Role

* Casual position
* Typically 1–2 nights per week
* Additional hours available when our full-time nanny is unavailable
* Based in a rural/farm environment near Brookstead
* Competitive hourly rate

What You’ll Be Doing

* Providing attentive, hands-on care for two-year-old & 3 year old boys
* Reading books, colouring, imaginative play and outdoor activities
* Preparing simple snacks and meals for the children
* Ensuring a safe, happy and engaging environment
* Light cleaning and tidying related to the children only

Essential Requirements

* Current QLD Blue Card
* Current First Aid & CPR
* Current Anaphylaxis Training
* Experience caring for young children
* Confident managing food allergies
* Current Police Check
* Minimum two professional references
* Current driver’s licence and reliable transport
* Comfortable in a rural/farm setting
* Non-smoker

Highly Regarded

* Experience with toddlers aged 2–3 years
* Early Childhood qualifications or working towards them
* Experience in sole-charge care
* Flexible availability for occasional evenings and weekends
* Comfortable around dogs and farm life

We’re looking for someone warm, patient, playful and dependable. More than anything, we want someone who enjoys spending time with children and can become a positive and trusted part of their world.

AI is pretty magical for the time it saves, but sometimes there are no fancy tricks needed—just a classic food shot and a camera (new phone though 😉). 📸❤️

Today’s function was for a very special lady’s 60th birthday. We were honoured to provide a full-service grazing table, charcuterie spread, dessert platter and hot food service for family and friends to enjoy.

There’s something pretty special about gathering around good food, sharing a laugh and celebrating life’s milestones with the people who matter most.

As many of you know, I’ve recently recommenced my role as Manager at Brookstead Pub while continuing to grow Wild Child Catering.

To ensure I can continue delivering the quality and service that Wild Child Catering is known for, I will be limiting larger catering bookings to one major function per month throughout 2026.

✅ Grazing boxes and simple meal orders will continue as normal. With a 7 day advance order requirement

✅ Monthly meal nights at Millmerran Memorial Bowls Club will continue as normal. Next one is 19th June

✅ guests are still able to order 5 day turnaround. 🏡

📅 If you’re planning a wedding, birthday, reunion, corporate event or community function, I encourage you to book early as available dates will be limited.

If you’re anything like me, it’s hard to go past a good plate of fried rice, sweet and sour pork and a bowl full of noodles, so we’ve put together a buffet packed with some Chinese-inspired favourites for a fun Friday night out.
