Just wanted to share something from the heart ❤️
From tomorrow, we won’t be able to pass card surcharges on to our customers. Of course, as a small business, the easiest thing for us would be to increase our prices a little to cover the extra cost.
But honestly, we don’t really want to do that.
We know everyone is feeling the increase in the cost of living, and the last thing we want is for our customers to feel like they have to pay even more just to enjoy a coffee or a meal with their family or friends. So for now, we’re going to keep our prices the same and absorb the extra cost ourselves for as long as we possibly can.
It might not be the easiest decision for a small business, but we feel like sometimes you have to look beyond just the numbers.
Back in 2019, when we had a Thai restaurant during COVID, we started giving away free food to people in the community who were doing it tough. What really stayed with us wasn’t just the food we were able to give away — it was seeing how many other people in the community wanted to help too.
People started getting involved, donating, sharing the message, bringing things in, and simply asking, “What can we do to help?” 🫶🏽
It reminded us that even when times are difficult, there are so many good people around us who genuinely want to look after each other.
So this is just our little way of doing what we can again. It’s not much, and we certainly can’t help everyone, but if keeping our prices the same makes things just a little bit easier for someone, then we feel it’s worth it.
Thank you to everyone who supports our little business. And thank you for being part of our community. ❤️
Sometimes a small gesture can mean a lot more than we realise. Max&Karen 🙏🏽
