We’re hiring! ☕️

Our wonderful Lizzie is off on a cycling adventure, so we’re looking for someone special to join the team.

If you’re a great barista who loves great coffee and genuine hospitality, we’d love to hear from you. You’ll be pouring Small Batch along with our favourite roasters from around Australia.

3 to 5 shifts a week (25 to 35 hours). Weekend availability is essential.

Thursday drinks at Abode? Don’t mind if we do. 🍷

JB from Jean Bouteille is back at Abode, pouring the w**es he makes by hand in Basket Range. French-born, Bordeaux-trained, nothing fined or filtered, just a good time in a glass.

Swing by straight from work, or sneak out a little early. Stay for one glass or the whole afternoon, and make it dinner with Abodes lamb burger, chipotle chicken bowl or Vietnamese duck salad.

If you find a favourite on the night, JB’s bottles are next door at Hillsdon Grocer · Taringa to take home.

Small Batch is now pouring at Abode. ☕️

The Small Batch crew put a huge amount of care into what happens long before the beans reach the machine, working closely with the people who grow them.

That same care showed up here too. Andrew from Small Batch came up from Melbourne to spend the afternoon with us, helping with the changeover, talking coffee and getting the team properly dialled in.

A big thanks to Brewtech and La Marzocco Australia for helping get everything sorted on the day too. 🤝

This one’s underrated on the menu 👀

Have you tried our Spicy Chipotle Chicken Burrito Bowl?

Smoky chipotle chicken, avocado crema, coriander and lime rice, pineapple, black beans, corn and corn chips.

Smoky, a little sweet, a little spicy and perfect with something ice cold.

Add the house-made roasted pineapple + habanero salsa if you like some extra heat. Fair warning: it’s HOT. 🌶️

If you’ve been ordering the same thing every visit, maybe this is your sign.

A new one for the rotation. 👀

Vietnamese Duck Salad with five spice braised duck, nuoc cham, wombok, red cabbage, cucumber, pickled carrot, herbs, peanut mayo and sesame peanut seasoning.

Fresh, punchy, a little sweet and a little salty. Very good timing for these warmer days.
