It's here. Oko Oko officially opens tonight! 🏮

Eighteen months in the making, and worth every day of the wait. Oko Oko is hard to miss, just look for the pagoda underneath the downtown Shinjuku skyline. And much like the menu, every element of Oko Oko combines time-honoured traditions with modern elevation.

And then there's the food, led by a chef whose CV runs through Nobu London and Yoko Brisbane. The world's first wagyu Kare Pan, golden, heart-warming and panko-crisp with a molten centre. Okonomiyaki with that fluffy dashi batter, tempura crunch and bonito on top. Yakisoba sliced, diced and finished hot on the grill.

Come say Konbanwa (こんばんは) 👋 to the team. See you under the pagoda. 🍜

Crepe. On a stick. Yes, really. 👀
Here's how it comes together: batter poured fresh into the press, a generous swirl of chocolate folded straight through the middle, the stick slipped in, then the whole thing pressed until it's golden and crisp on the outside and gooey, steaming hot in the centre.
Then comes the fun part. Pistachio, Biscoff, and a bunch of other rotating flavours you'll need to see to believe. Loaded up however you like it.
Made to order, served hot, built to eat on the move.
Find it at Oh Crepe. 📍🔥

SECRET'S OUT: The world's first Wagyu Kare Pan arrives at Eat Street this Friday. 🙌

What's a Kare Pan? 🤔 Glad you asked. A cheesy, Japanese curry-filled bun stuffed with Queensland Wagyu, panko-crusted and fried to order. Japan's most loved comfort food, never before made with wagyu... until now.

You'll find it at Oko Oko, Eat Street's new home for elevated Japanese street food, which officially opens June 12.

But the menu doesn't stop there. Okonomiyaki with tempura crunch and bonito. Yakisoba off the grill. And the Yakisoba-Pan, tucked into a Breadtop bun for the wander.

Friday 12 June. Come hungry. 🤤

Beef brisket Pho is back. Bone broth simmered low and slow, rice noodles, tender brisket, sprouts, herbs, lime and a dollop of chilli. One of THE best ways to stay warm and enjoy a crisp Brisbane winter by the river. 🍜
Grab a few napkins. Trust us. You'll need them. 💦
📍 Head to at Eat Street.

Pasta in one hand, pizza in the other. 🍕🍝 It's all about balance, done the way. Hand-stretched dough straight into the wood-fired oven, and pasta tossed in fresh pesto then turned through a wheel of Parmigiano Reggiano. Cosy up by one of our firepits. These were made for winter.

New signage. New name. All of it even better than ever.

Smash Mamas has had a facelift, and we could not be prouder to show it off.

New here and not sure where to start? Begin with First Base. A single smash patty with pickles, onions and that signature sauce, all tucked into a soft milk bun. The easy yes, and the perfect first hello.

Then there’s The Big Deck for when you mean business. Three patties stacked with three layers of American cheese and Bertocchi bacon. No half measures.

And the one everyone talks about, The Big West. Two smash patties crowned with 12 hours of smoked BBQ brisket, double American cheese, silky slaw and golden onion straws on a milk bun. It is the best seller, and it earns it.

Come and see the new look and grab a bite.

There's a kind of magic that happens over charcoal, and the team at Karinderia have it down to an art. Smoky BBQ skewers, golden chicken inasal, grilled squid, and a halo-halo piled high with ube, leche flan, sweet beans and mango. Real Filipino street food has landed at Eat Street. Kain na.

29/05/2026

Giant pans, smoky heat and fresh paella served straight from the burner 🥘🔥

At Samba Paella, every plate is loaded fresh to order with saffron rice, chorizo, greens and your choice of seafood or chicken, cooked right in front of you while the whole stall fills with that unmistakable aroma.
