Does our kimchi look spicy because it's so red?
No need to worry. 😊
At Bibimbap & Grill, we use plenty of red capsicum to create that beautiful vibrant colour, along with quality Korean chilli powder that are rich in colour but very mild in heat.
So while our kimchi looks bright red, the spice level is very low.
This winter, you can add our fresh kimchi as a topping to your Sweet Potato bowl for just $1.50 and enjoy a healthy, flavourful boost to your meal.
We also have freshly made, unfermented kimchi available for purchase if you prefer a fresher taste.

The kimchi you’re tasting is only fermented for about one week, so it has a fresher, milder tangy flavour. 🥬
Personally, I prefer kimchi that’s been fermented for at least two weeks — deeper, richer, and more developed in flavour.
But everyone’s taste is different, and that’s part of the beauty of kimchi. ✨

We’re currently offering free tastings of our house-made kimchi at Hello Bibimbap Newstead. 🥬
If you enjoy it, you can also take home a 450g jar for $6.9.
Our kimchi is 100% plant-based, made without MSG or preservatives — just a clean, wholesome homemade style kimchi made with care.
We’ve been working on creating a gentler kimchi that isn’t too overpowering with garlic, while still full of flavour without using fish sauce.
Kimchi pairs beautifully with almost any Asian dish based on soy sauce or fermented seasonings — bibimbap, fried rice, curry, noodles, ramen and more.
As the weather gets cooler, our bodies naturally slow down too.
Sometimes digestion feels heavier and our appetite changes during winter.
We hope our lightly tangy, savoury kimchi brings a little warmth, balance, and comfort to your winter meals. ❄️✨
