This Friday night, you’ll find Meraki Whitsundays set up at the Airlie Beach Foreshore Movies from 5:00pm!

Whether you’re rugged up for the movie or just out enjoying a beautiful Whitsundays evening, we’ve got your movie-night treats sorted:

We have a rare opportunity to join the Meraki family!

We’re looking for:
☕ Front of House Superstars
☕ Baristas (experience preferred, but personality is everything!)

What we’re looking for:
🤍 A bubbly, positive personality.
🤍 Someone who fits our vibe - friendly, welcoming and team-focused.
🤍 Reliability and flexibility.
🤍 Availability for early starts (from as early as 5:30am).
🤍 A commitment of at least 6 months.

What you’ll get:

✔️ Very little night work.
✔️ No Sundays.
✔️ A supportive team that genuinely enjoys coming to work.

Well… what a weekend! ✨

On Saturday night, we had the privilege of catering the 2026 Debutante Ball.

The Deb Committee approached us with a menu they had created and asked us to bring it to life for their guests. Our job was simple: execute their vision, feed a lot of people, and make sure nobody went home hungry.

What guests didn’t see was the chaos happening behind the scenes.

Power tripped. Then tripped again. And again. Gas decided it wasn’t interested in participating. Hot water was nowhere to be found. At one point, it felt like we were catering for nearly 500 people with one oven and sheer determination.

But as always, our team rolled with it.

Dinner was served, finger food kept flowing, and if you were there, hopefully you’d never have known just how many curveballs were being thrown our way.

To say I’m proud of this team would be an understatement. Their ability to adapt, problem solve and keep smiling under pressure never ceases to amaze me.

A huge thank you to the Deb Committee for trusting us with such a special event, and congratulations to all of the debutantes. You looked absolutely stunning and should be incredibly proud of yourselves.

Now if you’ll excuse us, we’re off to recover from catering for 500 people with what felt like a prayer and a single functioning oven. ❤️

Meraki on the Move will be set up bright & early at the sporting complex this Saturday AND Sunday keeping everyone caffeinated and fed 🙌

We’ll have the coffees flowing, hot box stocked, plus some sneaky sweet treats on board to get you through those big netball days 👀🍰🍪

Well, we didn’t quite bring home the win… but wow, what a ride! 💛

After spending weeks sitting at the top of the Queensland Day Awards leaderboard, we’re incredibly proud to have finished 2nd Best Café in Queensland.

To say we’re grateful would be an understatement. For a little café in a little town, this result means the world. It shows just how amazing our community is, how incredible my team is, and how special our Meraki family has become over the last 13 years.

Every early morning, every late night, every sacrifice, every challenge, and every milestone suddenly feels a little more worth it when we receive support like this.

Thank you to every single person who took the time to vote, share our posts, tell your friends, and cheer us on. We truly couldn’t have done it without you.

A huge congratulations to Farm House, Kedron on taking out 1st place, and Cafe Tahbella, Oxenford on finishing 3rd. What amazing company to be in.

And while we’re celebrating, how good is Bowen?! 💙

🐟 Huge congratulations to Chloe and the team at Bird’s Fish Bar for taking out 2nd Best Fish & Chips in Queensland.

💐 And an enormous congratulations to Lily and the team at Fiorella Florals for being crowned Best Florist in Queensland!

We are so proud to call Bowen home and to be surrounded by such passionate, hardworking small business owners.
