Big news for B**borowie and surrounds ❤️
The B**b Diner has been working behind the scenes to help coordinate a lunch stop for the Variety SA Bash convoy as part of this year’s “Pivot to Pirie” route, and we’re excited to officially share that they’ll be coming through our little town on August 8th.
We’ll be catering for the Bash crew during their stop in town, while also working together with the B**borowie Primary School Governing Council to help make the day something special for the wider community.
The school community will be putting together a bake sale/fundraiser on the day so the kids can be involved in all the fun, and from now until the Bash arrives we’ll also have a donation tub set up in store. If you’re able to, drop a few dollars in while you’re in grabbing a coffee, lunch or supplies — let’s work together as a community and give them a nice donation for all the incredible work they do for kids and families. ❤️
We can’t say thank you enough for the opportunities Variety has already given children in our own community by donating the bus for the B**borowie school. Chances are Variety has helped someone you know, supported a family close to home, or touched someone’s life in one way or another.
Now it’s our turn to show a bit of country hospitality and give them a warm B**borowie welcome. Let’s work together to make their stop in B**borowie one to remember. ❤️

Important Bash Update: New 2026 Route
After necessary consideration, Variety SA has made the decision to change this year's Bash route.
Recent flooding across several planned regions in Queensland and New South Wales has left many tracks underwater and inaccessible, making it unsafe for the event to proceed on the original route. While changes to a Bash route are never easy, the safety of entrants, officials, volunteers and the communities we visit will always come first.
While this is a change to our original plans, we’re excited to share that we will be keeping the Bash in South Australia this year, supporting local communities and delivering a strong South Australian–focused event experience. Our operations team has worked tirelessly with the Event Chair to ensure we can deliver an event that captures all the spirit of our SA Bash and provides priceless support to these regional communities in our State.
‘Pivot to Pirie’ will take our colourful convoy through the towns and communities at the heart of South Australia, raising vital funds for the kids and families who need it most.
Every grant, every dollar raised and every stop along the way is an investment in SA, making sure the impact is felt close to home.
