All piled onto a fresh pizza base because apparently toast just wasn’t ambitious enough.

We've noticed a few people seem a little concerned about the honest supplier mistake we posted about this week, so we thought we'd help put things into perspective. 😊

The supplier accidentally sent us a smaller schnitzel than our normal product. Before we identified and corrected the issue, we sold a total of 16 schnitzels ( at a .53c cheaper a piece) on Schnitzel Night - a promotion that's already heavily discounted compared to our regular menu pricing.

Rather than argue over it, we'd rather do something positive.

So this week we'll be adding a Family Saver Pack to our Pay It Forward Board, valued at $48, for a local family doing it tough. ❤️

At Beachmere Takeaway, we believe being honest with our customers is always the right thing to do.

We could have said nothing and most people would never have known, but that's not how we operate.

We're proud of the community we've built, and if an honest mistake gives us another excuse to help someone out, that's a win in our books.

Thanks to the overwhelming majority of our customers who appreciated the transparency and continued to support us. 🍻

Public Service Announcement: The Missing Chicken Has Been Found.

Yesterday we received our delivery of schnitzels.

Last night, in the middle of the dinner rush and general organised chaos, we started looking at them and thinking…

“Hang on a minute.. these schnittys seem a bit.. petite.”

After a call to our supplier this morning, the mystery has been solved.

Instead of our usual 200g schnitzels, we were accidentally sent the 120g version.

So if you ordered a schnitty last night and were wondering where the rest of your chicken went..

🐔 It wasn’t a new recipe.
🐔 We weren’t rationing.
🐔 The chicken didn’t fall off the truck.
And it didn’t take a vacation like our chicken patties.

We simply got the wrong product delivered.

The good news is it’s all sorted and we’re back to our normal-sized schnittys!

We’d like to apologise to anyone affected and thank you for your understanding.

Well.. that escalated quickly.

Tonight was one of those nights where you look around, look at the docket rail, look at each other, then quietly wonder if you’ve made the right decision 😂

To put it into perspective..

📋 140 orders processed.

With two team members off sick, it was just myself, Ryan, and three newer staff members holding down the fort.

One was on their very first shift.
One was on their second.
And one has only been with us a few weeks.

And honestly? We couldn’t be prouder.

They kept calm, worked hard, asked questions, supported each other and pushed through what can only be described as organised chaos.

Were we perfect? No.

☎️ We accidentally left a customer on hold.
🍟 We missed an item from an order.
⏰ There were definitely some waits.

To those affected, we’re genuinely sorry and incredibly grateful for the patience and understanding you showed us.

Running a small business isn’t always smooth sailing, but nights like tonight remind us how lucky we are to have such an amazing community behind us.

Thank you for your support.
Thank you for your patience.
And thank you for keeping us busy enough to create a receipt monster worthy of its own postcode.

Now if you’ll excuse us, we’re off to recover emotionally so we can come back and do it all again tomorrow.
