Not every cake starts with a pretty sketch.
When a customer comes to me with a unique idea, I usually sketch it out first. Not because I'm creating a masterpiece, but because I need to get the idea out of my head and onto paper. Once I can see it, I can work out the details, solve the challenges, and figure out how to bring it to life in cake form.
I cannot tell you the amount of times I've had 10 different elements then gone "that ain't gonna work" 😂
The sketches aren't meant to be beautiful. They're a tool, a plan, a puzzle-solving exercise.
The effort goes into the cake. 🎂✨
