☕️ Our Kitchen Social Cafe Notice ☕️

Our Kitchen Social Cafe will be closed tomorrow, Monday the 15th, as we take some time to update our POS system and complete a few important operational improvements behind the scenes.

Closing for one day allows our team to focus on these updates so we can continue providing you with the best possible experience when you visit us.

We'll be back on Tuesday the 16th from 8:30am, with plenty of smiles, delicious coffee, and all your favourite freshly made food ready to go!

🌱☕ A huge thank you to Ross from The Alternative Dairy Co. Barista for dropping off these wonderful goodies for our team!

Over the past few months, we've made the switch to The Alternative Dairy Co. range, and we couldn't be happier with the results. As a training cafe, it's important that we use products that not only taste great but also perform consistently when teaching barista skills and coffee-making techniques.

We've found these milks to be fantastic to work with, creating beautiful texture, excellent pourability, and consistently great coffee. Most importantly, the feedback from our customers has been overwhelmingly positive, with many commenting on the quality and flavour of their alternative milk coffees.

And how great is that giant red coffee cup? ❤️☕ It's actually a dog bowl! Thanks to Ross and The Alternative Dairy Co., we now have a dedicated water bowl at our entrance in Barkly Square so our four-legged visitors can enjoy a refreshing drink while out shopping with their humans. 🐾🐶

We're incredibly grateful for the support and partnership. It's always a pleasure working with suppliers who are passionate about quality and helping us provide the best experience possible for both our trainees and our customers.

👑☕ King's Birthday Break! ☕👑
Our team has officially been granted a royal day off!
Today, the coffee machine is taking a nap, the aprons are having a rest, and even the muffins have clocked out for the long weekend. 😴🧁
Our Kitchen Social Cafe will be closed on the King's Birthday public holiday and will reopen as usual tomorrow.
Thank you for your understanding, and we hope you enjoy the extra day to relax, recharge.

Today our hearts are so full after hosting Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea at Our Kitchen Social Cafe 💛

We are beyond proud of our beautiful staff member Tash, who organised this event in honour of her father, who sadly passed away from cancer. Yesterday, Tash showed incredible strength, love and courage by shaving off all her hair to help raise money for the Cancer Council.

Thanks to the generosity, kindness and support of our amazing community, together we raised an incredible $2,740 for such an important cause! ✨

We could not be happier with the outcome, and we want to say a huge THANK YOU to every single person who donated, attended, shared kind words, helped organise the day, and stood beside Tash throughout this journey. Your support means more than words can say.

What an emotional, inspiring and unforgettable day filled with love, community and support. We are so incredibly proud of you, Tash 💛

☕💛 You’re Invited to Our Biggest Morning Tea Fundraiser 💛☕

Join us on Thursday, May 21st 2026 at 12:30pm for a wonderful afternoon filled with tea, coffee, delicious treats, laughter, and community spirit — all while supporting an incredibly important cause. Come to Our Kitchen Social Cafe.

This year, Tash will also be bravely shaving her head in support of the fundraiser 💛

Anyone interested in getting involved can contribute $50 to shave part of her hair and be part of this special moment while helping raise money and awareness for those impacted by cancer.
