‼️ October 1st changes
From today, we are unable to charge the card surcharge on our eftpos terminals. Much to some people’s argument, no we were not profiting from this 🥲
Before we introduced the card surcharge, our eftpos transaction bills were up to $1000 a month. For full transparency, with the cost of everything else that has gone up, that’s $1000 a month we don’t necessarily have
It’s not just about putting the prices up, because the more money that goes through eftpos, the higher the bills are. The surcharge we had on didn’t cover the full fees, but we accept that it does cost to provide a payment service to our customers. However, bearing the full cost of this on top of the increase in insurance, cost of food and alcohol, land rates, wages, gas & electricity, freight increases, licence to play music in the venue, the list goes on, will have an impact on us and other small businesses.
It’s free to withdrawal cash from your bank’s atm and we would appreciate any cash payments 🫶🏼
While we will still accept card payments, when it works because the other great thing about eftpos machines is they like to stop working whenever you really need them, CASH is preferred
Our new menu will feature some price adjustments, not purely because of this change, but the increase of every other expense, but please keep in mind we have not increased any of our food prices since July last year, so unfortunately this was a necessity to keep the b**rs flowing and our amazing staff employed
It’s a scary time being in business, we don’t know what changes are around the corner, so we just have to keep adapting as they come. We appreciate your understanding 🤍 but also, the government needs to pull their finger out and give hard working Aussies a break
