A huge thank you to our wonderful community for your constant support, patience and love throughout our renovation. We are truly grateful for everyone who came by each day to check in, grab a coffee and encourage us — this community means everything to us.

We’re excited to welcome you back tomorrow morning with our brand-new menu, amazing new prices, fresh paint, and new furniture! We heard your feedback loud and clear, and we’ve made changes to create a warmer, more comfortable and more beautiful space for you to enjoy.

A special note — tomorrow will be Riley’s last day with us. He’s been an incredible part of the Awaken Avalon family, and we’d love for you to drop in, say hello, and wish him all the very best for his future endeavours.

Starting tomorrow morning, Awaken Avalon Café will be undergoing a fresh new makeover. We’re giving our space a beautiful renovation to make it even more elegant, cozy, and welcoming for all of you. The renovation will take 7 days, and we cannot wait for you to see the transformation. This is all for you — our community — so that your experience with us becomes even more special.

We’ve got some exciting and heartfelt news to share!
After years of dedication, warmth, and community spirit from the previous owners, Awaken Avalon Café & Restaurant has officially moved into new hands. We want to start by saying a huge thank you to them for creating such a special place — one that’s become a real part of Avalon life. ☕✨

As the new team, we couldn’t be more grateful (and honestly, a bit emotional) to take on this journey. From day one, our mission has been simple — to keep that same Awaken heart beating while bringing in some fresh ideas, new energy, and a stronger sense of connection with our amazing community.

Behind the scenes, we’ve been putting in the hours — refreshing the space, updating our menu, and planning ways to make Awaken feel more like your place than ever before. Because for us, this café isn’t just about great coffee or good food; it’s about people — the locals who stop in for their morning flat white, the families who brunch on weekends, and the friends who gather to share stories and laughter. 💫

To keep that spirit alive, we’ve started Cocktail Nights 🍸 and Karaoke Evenings 🎤 — relaxed, fun nights where everyone can unwind, sing, and soak up good vibes. And if that’s not enough, we’re also bringing in Garden Happy Hours every Friday & Saturday from 5pm to 7pm, with great drink specials, delicious bites, and our full dining menu to enjoy under the evening sky. 🌿✨

We truly believe that a local café grows only with the love and support of its community — and we’re beyond lucky to have Avalon behind us. Your kind words, visits, and friendly faces remind us every day why we love what we do.

🍳 Weekend Chef Wanted – Avalon Beach Café 🥑

We’re on the lookout for a Weekend Chef to join our friendly team at our beachside café in Avalon Beach!

Hours:
Thursday to Sunday | 7:00 AM – 2:30 PM

About the Role:
We serve classic Aussie-style breakfast and lunch. We're after someone with:

• Experience in Australian cafés

• Strong poached egg game 🍳

• Creative lunch plating skills

You’ll be running the kitchen solo during service, so this role suits someone confident and organised.

What We Offer:
✅ Great pay (on-book)
✅ Basic training on our menu
✅ A chilled, supportive team
✅ Beautiful location steps from the beach
✅ Freedom – you're the boss in the kitchen!

Requirements:

• Must have Australian café experience

• Must be eligible for on-book (legal) payment

• Able to work Thursday to Sunday mornings/lunch

• Trial shift required (unpaid, a couple of hours)
