Friday Happy Hour and meat tray raffle at The Rising Sun.

Every Friday, a local community group visits during Happy Hour to run the meat tray raffle, prepared by Clare Valley Meats, with all raffle proceeds going back to local causes.

We were excited to have Auburn Primary School run our raffle in September, raising a total of $1,474 to support their students.

We are currently welcoming the Gilbert Valleys Lions Club. Join us from 4pm to 6pm for Happy Hour, grab your meat tray tickets, and stick around for the draw at 6pm.

SUNDAY ROOTS & BLUES + SUNDAY ROAST

Live at The Rising Sun this Sunday from 3–6pm, join us for Sunday Roots and Blues as we welcome back AP Antonio. He returns with his blend of traditional blues, roots and early rock influences, delivered with a stripped back and soulful live set.

Our weekly Sunday roast will be available with all the trimmings, available from 12pm until sold out. This week we're serving roast wagyu beef.

Once a month for New W**e Wednesday, we're welcoming smaller, family-owned w**emakers from across the country.

Michael Corbett of Vanguardist W**es joins us for our next session on Wednesday, 25 November. Michael will join us for a two-course dinner with matched Vanguardist w**es. Over dinner, he'll share more about his career, the w**es, his approach to w**emaking and Vanguardist, with plenty of opportunity to ask questions and talk w**e around the table.

Tonight's New W**e Wednesday Cellar Takeover Session with Iain Riggs of Riggs and Wiggs W**es is sold out! We are very much looking forward to welcoming Iain and our guests for this special event tonight.

Whilst this event is sold out, our kitchen is open as normal, and we would love to welcome you for dinner from our standard menu. Bookings can be made on our website, or just drop in and grab a seat.

Iain will be in the front bar from 5pm pouring some of his w**es for tasting, so if you missed out on tickets but still want to try some w**es, we welcome you to join us.

New W**e Wednesday at The Rising Sun, where we open something special under Coravin and pour it by the glass.

Tonight, we’re pouring the 2024 Quenard Jacquère ‘Les Cristallins’ Chignin from Savoie, France.

Made from Jacquère grown on the steep slopes around Chignin, this is a crisp, dry white with bright citrus, floral notes and a clean mineral character. A lovely introduction to the alpine w**es of Savoie.
