This week marked โThank a Golf Course Superintendent Dayโ, the perfect excuse to say a proper thank you to our own, ๐๐ฟ๐ฒ๐๐ ๐๐ฎ๐น๐น๐ผ๐ฐ๐ต.
Brett has been Course Superintendent at Anglesea Golf Club for 35 years. His deep knowledge of turf management, work ethic and genuine passion for the craft are the reason the course is in the condition it's in today โ every fairway, green and bunker carries his fingerprints.
But Brett's impact goes well beyond the turf. He's a 11-time Senior Men's Club Championship winner and a pennant golf regular, just as committed to the club community as he is to the course itself. He's also mentored eight apprentices through to qualification, three of whom have gone on to become superintendents themselves. Add to that his time as President of the National Superintendents Association and on the State Association board, and it's clear his influence reaches well past Anglesea.
So on behalf of the whole club โ thank you, Brett, for the standard you set, the team you've built, and the course we all get to enjoy because of it.
