Do you enjoy eating heavily discounted but still amazing Easter chocolate? Then have we got the clearance sale for you!!

Capricorn Coffee needs to move the remainder of our Easter chocolate. Storage is tight, and Savanah is starting to glare at the boxes taking up shelf space. So we handed the pricing gun to Maddie, and she went to work! Come in and grab discounts of up to 80% on a wide range of chocolate eggs and bunnies, and help us clear those shelves!

AND WE HAVE A WINNER!!!

Capricorn Coffee are delighted to announce the winner of the 2026 Alpha Show Brownie Competition was Shannae Jansen, with her entry for a Snickers Triple Chocolate Brownie. While all entries were amazing and gave our judges a very VERY hard time picking a winner, Shannae's entry was just that perfect balance of chocolate fudgey awesomeness. Very warm congratulations to our second prize winner Wendy Bowyer, third to Sophia Dyer, and our under-12's winner was Lacey Revett.

Our very own brownie queen Savanah has followed Shannae's recipe perfectly, and re-created her amazing entry so everyone in Alpha can have a taste! We will be selling Shannae's brownies from our shop the rest of this week, so don't hesitate to pop in!

Thank you to all who entered, it was genuinely impressive baking from every single person who gave it a go, and our judges saw a range of wonderful, unique and utterly delicious entries. Thanks to our judges Savanah, Carmel, and Acting Sergeant Mitch Robinson from Barcaldine, who is covering Sergeant Kate while she's on leave, and who has advised he would be delighted to return for any future baking competitions he may be needed to judge.

So here is a short list of some things that $100 prize money will get you:

- Approximately 33 litres of diesel
- 15 green cabbages
- 1 x Nike running shoe (you have to win next year if you want a pair)
- 12.5 iced coffees
- 100 Chupa Chups

So get out there and risk it for the biscuit! (or rather, brownie)

If you have a brownie or a blondie you think will impress, then make sure you're ready for Tuesday the 19th of May. Our three judges have solemnly committed to me they will taste every single entry to determine the best brownie in Alpha. Again and again and again if necessary.

The Capricorn Coffee team is very excited to be running the canteen tonight at Hayden’s Home Game for the Alpha Brumbies. We’ll be offering a range of delicious fresh burgers and chips, pulled pork loaded fries, Mexican nachos, as well as the classic footy favourites of hot chips, pies and sausage rolls.

Come along, grab a delicious feed for the whole family, help raise funds for the RFDS, and cheer on the Brumbies to their first home game win of the season!

Valentine’s Day is nearly here, and Capricorn Coffee is ready!! We have some wonderful flowers available for Valentine’s this year from Florista Haze, and we are also offering fresh tasty meals from Cracked Pepper Catering.
