Great idea.

Our winter Street Tree Program has officially kicked off, with new trees being planted across the City over the coming weeks. Winter is the ideal time for planting with cooler temperatures and higher soil moisture to help trees establish strong roots and thrive long-term.

You may notice crews working in your area, or newly planted trees with stakes and mulch. Please take care around planting sites and help us look after these young trees as they settle in.

Street trees bring so many benefits to our community, including:

🍃Improved streetscape and neighbourhood appeal
🍃Habitat for local wildlife
🍃Long-term environmental benefits
