Come and Sail Our Way with us at Whitsunday Sailing Club 💙⛵

Thanks to an Australian Sailing Sail Our Way grant, we’re hosting a FREE day for women and girls aged 12+ to come together, try sailing, meet new people and enjoy a little wellness along the way.

🧘‍♀️ Start the day with a gentle yoga session
🥐 Enjoy a delicious breakfast platter
⛵ Head out on the water for a few hours of sailing

Never sailed before? Perfect. This is designed as a relaxed, inclusive introduction to dinghy sailing, with participants paired with a qualified instructor or experienced volunteer depending on your experience.
All you need to be is water confident and we’ll take care of the rest! 💙

Come solo, bring a friend, or come ready to meet some new sailing buddies. This day is all about inclusivity, confidence, fun and giving sailing a go.

🎟️ FREE to attend, but RSVP is essential so we can make sure we have enough spots for everyone.

A very big thank you to our Race Week volunteers ⛵

Airlie Beach Race Week doesn’t happen without the incredible people behind the scenes. From the weeks of preparation getting the Club ready, to the long days on and off the water throughout Race Week, you showed up, pitched in and made it all happen.

And what makes it even more special? So many of you travelled from all over Australia to be here with us. Some of you have been coming back year after year, and honestly,
we love seeing your faces every time. 🥹

Your time, energy, skills and good vibes mean more to us than we can put into words. Whether you were here for a day, the whole week, or somewhere in between,
you were a huge part of Race Week 2026.

Thank you for choosing to spend your time with us, for always being ready to help, and for making Airlie Beach feel a little more like home every year. 💙

The program is designed to help you build your skills, gain valuable insights and learn from experienced National and International officials.

You’ll also become part of a supportive network of officials from across Australia and receive a $250 travel credit to attend an event alongside your mentor.

Ready to sail better? Let’s go! 🤙

If you’ve mastered the basics and you’re ready for a new challenge, Better Sailing 3 is your next step!

Across four weeks, you’ll build your skills and confidence while learning to handle stronger winds, get to grips with the trapeze and experience the excitement of flying a spinnaker. 💨
With guidance from our nationally qualified Australian Sailing instructors and around 10 hours of practical tuition, you’ll spend plenty of time putting your skills into action on the water.

Your course includes:
⛵ Boat & PFD provided
📖 Australian Sailing logbook
🏅 Better Sailing completion certificate

📅 30 August – 20 September 2026
🕘 Sundays | 9:00am – 11:30am
