A Velvet Sledgehammer Kind of Night.....
Just over seven weeks to go until Ed and I step back onto the stage at Ginger's Vintage Lounge Bar, and it's time to start coordinating your tables and reserving your seats for this wonderful night.
If you were at our last show, you'll know what to expect. If you weren't, here's what people said afterwards:

That's the kind of evening we're building again for Saturday 26 September ,but with some extra elements for an even richer experience.
Imagine stepping into an intimate loungeroom with your favourite artists : Nina Simone, Diana Krall, Nat King Cole, Ella Fitzgerald, Sarah Vaughan, Etta James, Frank Sinatra, Aretha Franklin, Carmen McRae, Tracy Chapman, Edith Piaf, Blossom Dearie and more.
That's what this performance feels like. Not a tribute show, but a show that takes you on a journey of discovery: fascinating stories, familiar and new artists, incredible music across jazz, blues, soul and gospel , all with something that has resonated with me and shaped my voice.
You will have the opportunity to hear their lesser known stories, their struggles and triumphs. Within that same space, you will get to know me more with every song and how my own voice, shaped by all of them, claims these songs in ways you might not expect, with Ed Heddle on keyboard, creating musical magic with his improvisation.
Ed and I have spent ten years reading and bouncing off each other in real time on stage, and that connection is something that is rare and commented on repeatedly.
