Did you know the home of Cafe Bonython, Bonython Park, is named after Sir John Langdon Bonython — one of South Australia’s great philanthropists and champions of education?

Just as inspiring is his daughter-in-law, Lady Constance Jean Bonython, who dedicated her life to improving the lives of children and families. Through decades of leadership in South Australia’s kindergarten movement, she helped shape early childhood education for generations to come.

We’re proud to be part of a place that carries such an incredible legacy. The Bonython family’s contribution to education, community and the wellbeing of children was truly monumental, and it’s a story worth celebrating.

At Cafe Bonython, we’re honoured to welcome families to this special place each day and hope to continue the spirit of community that the Bonython name has represented for generations.

A huge thank you to everyone who visited us today and for your patience and support. We were unprecedentedly busy, and our tiny kitchen was working flat out to keep up with the demand.
