Bet there's an egg stall near you that you didn't know was there.

Tap Eggs in the SideStall app and the nearby stalls come up first, showing who's open right now and how far away they are. Keep scrolling and there's more from farm gates and roadside fridges further afield: duck eggs, fertilised eggs, trays of 30, and cartons from $3.

Honey, eggs, sourdough, fresh flowers, rhubarb, and cookies made with fresh eggs. She's got good taste.

So we get the map out, it shows what's close by, and off we go. Seatbelt on.

Got a stall on SideStall? There's a new button in the app that emails you a QR poster for it, ready to print.

Go to Manage stall, scroll down and tap "Email me my QR poster". A print-ready A4 PDF lands in your inbox with your stall's name, your and a big QR code. This one's for my own stall at Angaston.

Whoever scans it lands right on your stall page, where they can see what's on the table and grab the app to follow you. Plain paper does the job. If it's going outside, laminate it or slip it into a plastic sleeve.

Had to tell Percy the news 🦆

If you sell through Square in Australia, you can now connect it to your SideStall stall. Sell something through Square and the items you've linked update on SideStall too: stock on hand, prices, all that. Your stock stays in sync, and no more double handling your inventory.

SideStall only reads from Square and never writes anything back. It's part of the Commercial plan, and you set it up in the seller portal under Integrations, then Square.

SideStall of the Week is Valley Blooms Honey at Auburn, in the Clare Valley 🐝

Simon's a beekeeper, and he sells his raw honey straight from his own stall. He saw lots of roadside stalls on a three-month road trip around Tasmania, and that's what gave him the idea to set one up for his honey.

He told us the 1kg buckets are his bestseller. He's got 500g glass jars as well, and 1kg glass jars are the newest thing on his table.

Travellers take lots of photos of the stall, which, in Simon's words, gives him "a real buzz (pardon the pun)".

You can now link Square to your SideStall stall. On linked items, the name, price and stock follow your till, so when the last tray goes at the stand, your stall knows about it too. No double entry.

Your photos, descriptions and volume deals stay yours on SideStall, and SideStall only ever reads from Square, never writes to it.
