Hey friends! Ich bin gerade auf dem Rückweg nach einem erstaunlichen Aufenthalt in Yucatan und trage ein paar tolle Gewürze mit. Mexico ist ja bekanntlich eines der tollsten Länder um die lokale Kulinarik durch das Street Food kennen zu lernen. Am kommenden Samstag den 9. Juli werde ich polcanes mit unterschiedlichen Füllungen .wien im richtigen Format servieren. Polcanes sind typische Maisteigbällchen aus der prehispanischen Küche der Mayas. Kommt vorbei zum Essen, Plaudern und eine Michelada trinken.

It’s so beautiful to see when things work out as expected. When my boy wrote to me in January 20 that cooking is the only thing he can imagine doing for life and he wants to learn I felt the boy’s got something in him. Yesterday he proved his skills he developed over our time together in the kitchen and made this wonderful pâté en croute totally on his own. According to one legend, for the 100th anniversary of the end of the great Napoleon war in the year 1912 for Nikolai II table Russian pâtissiers made a millefeuille cake and called it Napoleon.

Another legend speaks of how Napoleon got caught flirting with one of Josefines maids and had to cover himself with a lie of whispering to her ear a recipe of a cake. Well, I can’t imagine a better flirt to whisper a cake recipe into a ladies ear…
