🇦🇹Jetzt schon vormerken: Unser Almabtrieb am 12. September 2026. 🐎

12. September – wir sehen uns in Piber!

🇺🇸Save the Date: 12 September 2026. 🐎
After their summer on the alpine pastures, our young stallions return to Piber.

The annual descent from the pastures is always a special moment. After several months in the Styrian mountains, the young Lipizzaners return to Piber, bringing a centuries-old tradition to life. For the region, it is a meaningful and celebratory moment that brings people together – and a piece of living cultural heritage that is a source of pride far beyond Styria.

If you'd like to experience this special tradition, make sure to leave some time for Piber itself, too. Guided tours, carriage rides, insights into the world of the Lipizzaners and more await you at the stud.
We can't wait to welcome our young stallions home. Our mares will follow suit just a couple of days later and we wish them an equally safe and beautiful return home. 💚

12 September – see you in Piber!

On August 15, we invite you to join us for one last culinary summer evening at the Lipizzaner Stud. Enjoy regional cuisine, a guided tour of the stud and the return of the mares and foals from the pastures – all in the unique atmosphere of a summer evening.

As the mares and their foals make their way back from the pastures and the day slowly comes to an end, Piber reveals a quieter and magical side of itself. 🐎
