Cuvée Hélène by Papargyriou Winery

A wine with both character and emotion. Named after the winemaker’s wife, this elegant cuvée showcases the rare Greek variety Goustolidi, grown at high altitude in the mountainous vineyards of Corinthia.

Crafted from overripe grapes, fermented in French oak and aged on its lees, Cuvée Hélène reveals a layered and expressive profile. Aromas of citrus, apricot and ripe peach unfold alongside delicate notes of brioche, toasted nuts and subtle minerality. On the palate, it is beautifully balanced, combining vibrant acidity with a silky, almost oily texture and a long, refined finish. 

A distinctive Greek white that bridges tradition and precision winemaking, perfect for pairing with seafood, white meats or simply enjoyed on its own.

🍸 New at Bakaliko: The Mechanic Gin

Introducing Mechanic Gin from Lost Lake Distillery, inspired by the fascinating history of Lake Kopais in Greece. In the late 1800s engineers drained the lake and transformed the land forever. Local stories tell of an English engineer who, amid this project, used a small still to distil gin with herbs and fruit from the area — the spirit that inspired this gin. 

🔹 Style: Mediterranean London Dry Gin
🔹 Origin: Greece, produced by Lost Lake Distillery in the plain of Kopais
🔹 ABV: ~42.8% 

Expect rich aromas of lemon, orange, grapefruit and bergamot, with herbal accents like lavender and cardamom. On the palate it’s smooth, balanced and full-bodied with a clear Mediterranean character and a long citrus-peel finish.

Kamkoutis Malagousia
Sourced from the vineyards of Velventos, at the foothills of the Pieria Mountains near Lake Polyfytos, this Malagousia reflects a unique continental microclimate. Warm days and cool nights at 300–450 m altitude preserve freshness, aromatic intensity and vibrant acidity.

Crafted by Kamkoutis Winery with careful temperature controlled fermentation and low yields, the result is elegant and expressive.

White flowers, ripe peach and citrus on the nose.
Crisp acidity, silky texture and a long, clean finish.

Paliokalias 2017 by Domaine Dalamara

Paliokalias 2017 is one of the defining expressions of Xinomavro and a true showcase of the exceptional terroir of Naoussa. The vineyard of Paliokalias sits on a historic slope with limestone rich soil and excellent drainage. This unique landscape brings remarkable structure, depth and elegance to the wine.

The 2017 vintage stands out for its balance. A warm year gave concentrated fruit while cool nights protected freshness. The result is a wine with fine tannins, vibrant acidity and an impressive ability to age.

In the glass it reveals aromas of sun dried tomato, black cherry, red berries, olive and subtle spice. Notes of dried herbs and earthy minerality show the character of the vineyard. On the palate it is precise and layered with a long and graceful finish.

A bottle that captures the soul of Naoussa and the craftsmanship of the Dalamara family. Perfect for those who appreciate wines with authenticity, depth and a strong sense of place.
