My nana has always made my most memorable southern meals. Her house is where I learned to appreciate sharing big meals with family and friends. Most of the time there were so many of us that some had to sit on the floor or on the porch but we were still all together. I hope to translate those feelings to you. I doubt these are as good as her greens and beans but I am trying!

I went to pick up a few copies of by at the local Barnes and Noble to send to my grandparents who live down in TN. My grandfather just turned 91 and I talk with him weekly. He still gardens, cooks and is on the light and power board. He really never stops and has always been one of my biggest cheerleaders along with my aunts, uncles, and chosen family.
I have never been one to toot my own horn but when the cashier asked me why I was buying so many, I told her it was because I was in the magazine and she almost screamed with joy for me to show her and the other ladies in line came up to congratulate me and we all looked at it together. One lady in particular said “GIRL! You cant keep these things quiet! Tell everyone!” And then they asked me when my book was coming out…
Anyway, here is to not holding it in.

Hi! Wow what a blur of a Spring season and the Summer has kicked off in the most amazing way. I have been fortunate enough to spend a little bit of time traveling, meeting enthusiastic new clients and chefs who always give me the fuel to keep moving forward. The Fall is booking up and I could not be more thankful to all of you. 📸
