After 10 incredible food-truck-years, Chef Tham & Host Harry are ready for a new chapter.
Ten years ago in 2016 I, Chef Tham, became the proud owner of Cactus Blue Foodtruck. Before that, I had the pleasure of working for Chef Hagen, the original founder of Cactus Blue. Years later, Lars, the second owner, gave me the opportunity to take over the foodtruck and continue its story. I will always be grateful for the trust he placed in me and for giving me the chance to become the owner of this special place now also know to everyone as ‘The Lionfish Truck’ on Bonaire.
In 2018, Harry joined me at Cactus Blue as ‘Host Harry’. Together, we have shared this adventure with you all. Many of you have followed not only the journey of Cactus Blue, but also our personal journey. You celebrated our milestones with us, including our wedding last year, and for that we are incredibly grateful. Over time, many of our guests have become friends, and many of you have felt like family.
Over the years, we have had the privilege of meeting people from every corner of the world. We have welcomed first-time visitors, returning guests, growing families, and lifelong friends at our little truck. Watching familiar faces return year after year has been one of the greatest gifts of this journey.
Today, with hearts full of gratitude, we are ready for our next adventure. The time has come for the next generation to take over Cactus Blue and continue its legacy.
Do not worry though, Cactus Blue Foodtruck isn’t going anywhere, and the Lionfish will always be on the menu! The foodtruck will remain in the same beloved oceanfront location, serving the same well-known menu that so many of you have come to love. Your Lionfish and other burger fix will still be waiting for you whenever you visit Bonaire.
More details about this exciting transition and the re-openingdate will be shared here on FB & Insta.
As for us personally, we are ready to continue exploring this beautiful world together and create new memories along the way as our motto is ‘Make your days count’. Bonaire is where our personal journey started too, so there is no goodbye, only ‘see you soon’ ;-)
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for your support, your loyalty, your friendship, and the countless memories you have given us over the past decade. Cactus Blue has never just been about food, it has always been about people, connections, and shared moments. You have made this journey truly unforgettable.
If you would like to follow our personal future adventures, you can join us on Facebook, Instagram and YouTube at “We Make Our Days Count.” We would love to keep in touch with you there!
With all our love and gratitude, see you soon, somewhere in the World,
Chef Tham & Host Harry ❤️
