Life Insurance for the Love of Your F.A.M.I.L.Y.
Raising a Family
Typically, we do not place life Insurance in the same sentence as the word love but perhaps we should start. You know, when a person we care about passes away it creates a whole new way of looking at the transitory nature of our existence: that we are not in control of our future as much as we think or hope. Death will not pass us by simply because we are good people, or because we have wealth or fame and think that somehow we are different from everyone else. “It won’t happen to me, I’m as healthy as a horse!” Sound familiar? Even healthy people can die suddenly; it’s called an accident, a homicide, or a fluke illness. We hear about it all the time. So why do we create an egocentric circle around ourselves and refuse to face reality?
FEAR is the answer. I wasn’t posing a riddle, I was stating a fact. We often fear purchasing life insurance because we are afraid to look outside of ourselves and our own agenda in life. As we have all heard but have perhaps forgotten or not put into action, “Love Casts Out All Fear,” and men and women love their families and put them first before their own needs: to be loved and protected.
This is where life insurance comes in. An easy way to show we love our families is through the purchasing of a necessary life insurance policy, because we do not own our lives. If we owned our lives we would have full control over it which we do not. As a spouse or a parent perhaps we need a reminder of what the true significance of what the word F.A.M.I.L.Y means:

When we have a family especially, our lives are not our own and we need to switch from a world that revolves around us to people that revolve around their families. This is not to say that just because someone doesn’t purchases life insurance that they are obviously living in fear and perhaps even dislike their family. That is not the point at all because some people are not healthy enough to get the product, or have such a large amount of capital that they believe they do not need it, but this is not where most of us are. Most of us need to be able to replace income to protect those we love.
If you love your family and do not have life insurance, are healthy enough to get it, and aren’t largely affluent, then what are you afraid of? There is no time to start like now because remember: we do not own your life. We could be a tombstone tomorrow and how will we be remembered? Hopefully as someone who truly knew and lived what F.A.M.I.L.Y. actually means for us.
