Pizzeria Olivella is an original, casual, traditional, rustic pizzeria is in the quintessentially friendly Italian country style. All pizzas are made in an Italian wood-burning oven in the traditional thin-crust, flame-charred Neapolitan style. Only slow fermentation durum wheat flour from Naples is used requiring a quarter of the yeast of regular p

izzerias and is left to rise slowly for 48 hours (as opposed to the standard 2 hours) producing a very light, easy-on-the-stomach dough. Together with Neapolitan grown San Marzano tomatoes and Fior Di Latte Mozzarella, as mandated by the Association of Neapolitan Pizza Chefs, this creates a deliciously light, well-balanced, flavour-packed pizza. Popular on the menu are the classic Buffalo Mozzarella Margherita and the Bresaola and Rocket Pizza with Shaved Parmesan. Also proving popular are the inventive ‘Maharaja’ with Tandoori Chicken, Red Onions, Spiced Mango Chutney, Cucumber Mint Raita, and creamy Fior di Latte Mozzarella and the now much ordered ‘Arabica’ with Sumac, Zaatar & Lemon Marinated Chicken, Mixed Peppers, Crumbled Feta and Fior di Latte Mozzarella. Pizzeria Olivella also serves simple and creative salads such as the ‘Insalata ai Frutti di Mare’ with Mixed Seafood & Baby Leaves in Butter and Garlic Dressing and fresh pasta dishes including the ‘Pollo Pesto’ with Chicken, Mushrooms, Red Onions, Melted Fontina, Mozzarella and Parmesan cheese in Pesto Sauce. Certainly not to be missed are the devilishly good deserts like the much requested Warm Chocolate Brownie with whipped cream or the cup of three flavour Italian Gelato. At the pizzeria’s entrance is a little ‘Alimentari’ (Italian Grocery). This features Abu Dhabi’s widest selection of Truffle and Porcini Mushroom products including Italian Acacia Truffle honey, White Truffle Olive Oil and Fresh Cut Porcini Mushroom heads ideal for making any home meal infinitely better- and a little sampling table is available for guests to try before they buy too. Citywide delivery is available throughout Abu Dhabi city (on island). And with the generously topped 30cm personal pizzas at an average price of 35 dhs, the prices hit the spot too.
