Dear enterpreneurs...

If you see someone selling something at a "high price" and you know a cheaper place or person selling it, kindly go there in peace without jeopardizing someone's business.

People have different suppliers who charge different prices, people stay far away from factory shops/wholesalers where they stock, some spend a lot of money on transport, advertisement, delivery fees, etc.

So if you think you can get something somewhere at a cheaper price, go there in silent and stop wanting people to lower their prices to suit you.

After all we are hustling to put bread on the table. We don't welcome such cruel mentality of Jeopardizing other people's business.

⚠️ Small Business Owners, Please Be Careful of Scammers ⚠️

Yesterday, a customer contacted T&M Bites and ordered 6 Burger Stacker Dagwoods at R50 each.

He then told me that he was sending a driver to collect the food. Before we had even discussed or confirmed a payment method, he sent me what appeared to be a Capitec Send Cash voucher and claimed the money had been sent.

Something felt suspicious. Fortunately, I had not handed over the food yet.

When I informed him that neither he nor the driver would receive the order until we had successfully withdrawn and verified the cash, things started to change. The driver suddenly got "lost," and communication became inconsistent.

To be certain, I drove to the bank and attempted to withdraw the cash using the reference number and PIN provided. The transaction failed because the voucher details were invalid.

After that, the customer disappeared and could no longer be reached.

Thankfully, I never released the food, but I still lost time, fuel, and stock preparation costs.

📌 Lesson learned:
Never hand over food or goods before payment has been successfully verified.

Be cautious of Send Cash vouchers, screenshots, and payment confirmations that cannot be verified immediately.

If something feels suspicious, trust your instincts and verify first.

Protect your business at all times.
