The brief was to make resin look like red wine. We needed to create colour, movement and feeling. The end result? Once-off art pieces for the wine experience room.

If you understand epoxy, you’ll understand the thinking and planning that went into making this resin look “3D” and super polished / glossy so it resembled pouring wine. 🍷

Nobu commissioned, we delivered.

The brief? “Make resin look like pouring wine.” 🍷 The ex*****on? Three-dimensional depth suspended in resin perfection.

The stakes were high and the vision was uncompromising but our goal was to create epoxy art that demanded attention and we put our absolute all into this one. Stay tuned for the full project info.

Part 1 of this series.
Earlier this year, I was commissioned to create a one-of-a-kind art installation for the iconic One&Only Hotel at the V&A Waterfront in Cape Town.

The process spanned weeks, carefully sourcing the right wood, testing and refining pigment tones to echo the depth of red wine, and solving challenges along the way. Long days, tight deadlines, and unpredictable weather were all part of bringing this vision to life.

The final pieces were designed exclusively for the hotel’s new wine experience room at Nobu.
