Our avocado trees are covered in blossom right now — thousands of tiny pale-green flowers, and the bees are working overtime. It’s a quiet, easy-to-miss moment, but it’s where every avo on your toast starts.🐝🥑
Fun facts:
1. Each avocado flower opens twice — once as female, then again the next day as male. Nature’s clever like that.
2. Avos don’t ripen on the tree — only once they’ve been harvested!
3. Some avo varieties will be in blossom whilst still carrying fruit! (See slides 4–6)
